PMC Signature Cultured Marble
Cultured Marble is a non-porous, low-maintenance countertop surface. It is similar in appearance to natural marble, stone and other naturally occurring materials. Typically manufactured in sheet form for fabrication into finished countertops, cultured marble can also be cast into a variety of shapes to include sinks, shower pans and bathtubs.
Color and design flexibility are key factors when choosing engineered composites over natural stone. In a residential setting, cultured marble can be used as bathroom vanity tops, and shower floors, wall panels and tub surrounds.
A major appeal of cultured marble is its seamless nature. Engineered composites have a gel coat surface finish which makes them impervious to bacteria, staining and most of the problems inherent in natural stone. Cultured marble sinks can be cast into the countertop during the manufacturing process, eliminating gaps or areas for water to collect and grow bacteria. Integral backsplashes can also be created that follow the contours of the wall seamlessly and without gaps.
